When a machine can go back, who pays the freight, and when the money returns. Applies to every order shipped within the 48 contiguous states.
Meet every point and the full purchase price comes back. Miss one and the return may still be accepted with a deduction (Section 6), or declined and shipped back at your cost.
Email contact@atlasgroundandlift.com or call (XXX) XXX-XXXX with the order number, the item and the reason. We confirm eligibility and issue an RA number and return address within 1 business day.
Back in the original crate, RA number on two sides, insured for the full purchase price. Lifts, tire machines, forklifts and mowers go LTL freight. E-bikes, scooters and pool accessories go UPS or FedEx Ground. Send us the carrier and tracking or PRO number.
Within 2 business days of arrival a technician checks the unit against Section 1, photographs its condition and confirms the refund amount by email. Any deduction is itemized.
The refund goes to the original payment method the day the inspection is approved. Card and PayPal refunds show in 5 to 7 business days. Bank wires and financed purchases take up to 10.
Arrives damaged, is not what you ordered, or shows a defect we confirm in the first 15 days: none of the costs on this page apply to you. Note it on the delivery receipt, email photos to contact@atlasgroundandlift.com within 24 hours, and we arrange the pickup, pay the freight and issue a full refund or a replacement. Your choice. Refunds in these cases are issued when the carrier scans the pickup, not after inspection.
Outbound freight was free. The only shipping cost on a standard return is the trip back. Machines move LTL and the price follows weight, distance and whether a liftgate pickup is needed. Parcel items cost far less.
| Reason | Return freight | Outbound freight |
|---|---|---|
| Changed mind / wrong spec | Customer pays | Not charged |
| Damaged in transit | We pay | Not charged |
| Defective on arrival | We pay | Not charged |
| Wrong item shipped | We pay | Not charged |
| Refused at delivery, no defect | Customer pays both ways | Deducted at carrier cost |
Ask us to book the return and we use our carrier rate and show the exact figure before you agree. A two-post lift or tire changer back to the nearest of our 6 warehouses typically runs $250 to $600. A boxed e-bike, $40 to $90.
Refunds go back to the payment method used at checkout. Not to a different card, a different person or as cash. Financed orders are refunded to the lender, who closes or adjusts your account.
Partial refunds. A unit returned with missing parts, a damaged crate or handling that stops us reselling it as new may be accepted with a restocking deduction of up to 20% of the purchase price. It covers replacement parts, repackaging and re-inspection, itemized in the inspection email before the refund is issued. Units with hours on the meter, drilled base plates or mounted tires are not eligible for a partial refund; they go back to you at your cost.
Cancellations. Cancelled before dispatch: full refund, Express Freight fee included. After the carrier has picked up, a cancellation is a return under this policy.
Send the order number and the reason. An RA number follows within 1 business day.
